An INSANELY Simple Trick To Boost Ad Performance

Updated: May 31, 2024

Boost Ad Performance

There’s “one” thing you must do right away whilst writing ANY Ad.

This is an insanely simple trick that works every single time. I’ve seen it happen right in front of my eyes.

In the next 3 minutes, I'll tell you exactly what the trick is, and how you could use it to boost ad performance.

Every Ad Must Have A Goal..

An Ad is supposed to bring you leads, increase your sales and put money in the bank.

Every ad must have a point that gets your prospects to do "something". Maybe click on a button, watch a video or check out your store.

An action step.. Something we “ask” our prospects to do in our ads.

What the majority of marketing gets wrong here is, not seeing how big and difficult of an “ask” they send out.

I remember scrolling through Instagram and suddenly getting a DM.

It was from a designer who wrote an AI generated essay. It sounded something like “Hey I’m an expert designer I do XYZ,ABC,LMNOP blah blah blah blah”.

The offer at the end… was a 1 hour Zoom Call.

Big Asks = Rejection

Obviously, nothing happened.

But you don’t want your prospects to say “That’s a big task, can’t do now", do you?

You want your prospects to say YES.

And you must make it as EASY as possible for them to say YES.

You do by starting with a really quick and “low-threshold” offer, and then “build” the offers up.

For example, instead of a 1 hour call in the previous example, I would’ve considered saying yes, if it was a "quick" 10 minute call.

Before you get your prospects to sign up and pay you, or even agree for a much longer call, you need to give them a SOLID reason for them to move forward.

You can't expect them to agree to something big and time consuming with a random stranger business they came across on the internet.

Warm Up Your Prospects

To make them finally “pay you”, which is the biggest ask, you need to keep adding small action steps.

We start off with something that’s extremely simple and doesn’t take over a couple of minutes of your prospect’s time.

Here are some ideas

  • Click this link (takes them to a landing page)

  • Drop your email

  • Watch a 3 minute video

  • Check this quick blog post.

Notice the pattern? See how EASY these offers are?

It is way easier to just type an email address instead of filling a 15-question Google Form. It is way easier to read a quick blog post than a 50 page e-book.

Once you get them to do something, you KNOW that there is intent. No one reads an ad and clicks on a CTA for fun.

Now, you keep giving them more value and “bigger asks”.

They’ve read your blog? Good, now ask them to drop their email address. Keep giving them more information through a newsletter.

See that they’ve watched a video? Good, now send them an email asking for a quick call.

They got on a quick call? Good, ask your questions, have a chat. And then you ask for a much bigger 1-hour call.

They came to the 1-hour call? Great. Now pitch and close them. Get them to sign up and pay you.

Now see how easy it is for them to agree to the bigger asks one by one?

And finally, even the BIGGEST ask, which is getting them to sign up, seems not so far fetched.

And this is the trick I mentioned. Keep warming up your leads, building the action-steps slowly.

Keep in mind, start with building some trust with your prospects. Step-by-Step, they will feel more comfortable saying yes to bigger commitment.
